Flowers for your Wedding

Wedding flowers can be as simple or as lavish as your budget.  There are many ways to use wedding flowers and just as many places to find them.

Wedding flowers can be used sparingly or they can fill almost every space possible.  The best part of it all is that you get to decide.

Start by creating a wedding flowers budget. Then do a little research and see what you will be able to get for the money you are willing to spend on wedding flowers.

Decide what wedding flowers are the most important to you.  Are they the wedding flowers that you will carry or the bouquets that will decorate the church?  Do you want to spend most of the money on wedding flowers for the reception?  Is it important for all family members to have wedding flowers or are you willing to cut that number back a bit?

You also need to decide where you will get your wedding flowers and if you want to use artificial or real wedding flowers.

If you choose to use artificial flowers you may be able to get quite a few more wedding flowers for your money. Do you want to put the bouquets, wreathes and other wedding flowers together yourself?  This is easily done and there are even classes you can take that will help you design your wedding flowers.

For those who choose to make the wedding flowers you need to make sure you start in time.  Do not leave the wedding flowers until the week before your wedding.

You may be able to find family or friends who would enjoy putting the wedding flowers together with you.  If you decide to do this you should know what you plan to make and have all the supplies ready.  Have pictures of the wedding flowers and the directions for making them.

As soon as you have decided what to use for the wedding flowers start looking in craft store ads for the sales.  You can often find the flowers and other items needed on sale.  You should be able to find the flowers, ribbon, vases and other containers at great prices.

You can also order your wedding flowers through a florist. They will be able to custom-design your wedding flowers for you.

Wedding flowers are available at many grocery store floral departments. You can order all the flower arrangements pre-made or put them together yourself.
