Choosing Your Wedding Decorations. How Will We Decorate for the Wedding?

Wedding decorations can be a creative and wonderful part of the whole wedding experience.  Where do you begin planning the wedding decorations?  How much will the wedding decorations cost?  Can I make any of the wedding decorations myself?  These are all good wedding decoration questions.

You will need to decide where you will have the wedding ceremony and the reception.  This will help you determine how many wedding decorations you will need.  It will also give you an idea how much the wedding decorations will cost.

If you choose a large site for either the ceremony or the reception you may need quite a few wedding decorations.  You will want the wedding decorations to be noticed and they won’t be if the area is too large and the wedding decorations too few.

One thing to do as soon as possible is to decide the theme.  This will help you choose the wedding decorations. When you know what the theme is you will be able to look for wedding decorations.  After you choose the theme you will begin to notice wedding decorations that will work with your colors and theme.

The wedding decorations do not need to be expensive. If you are creative and watch the sales you will be able to come up with some unique and inexpensive wedding decorations.

Candles can be used in many ways as wedding decorations.  You can use tapers or pillars as wedding decorations.  Floating candles also look nice and you can surround them with flower petals or confetti.  Gel candles may work as wedding decorations especially if you find some that match your theme.

Balloons are always a good choice for wedding decorations because they are relatively inexpensive and are a good way to fill large spaces.  You can use balloon bouquets as part of your wedding decorations and place them on the tables and in other places around the room.

Many people like to use fresh flowers as their wedding decorations.  You can fill baskets, vases and other containers with fresh flowers for a lovely effect.

Clay pots planted with flowers and greenery may be a possibility for your wedding decorations.  These pots can then be used in the garden after the ceremony and reception.

If you are going with a spring flower theme you can incorporate other gardening items into the wedding decorations.  Look for watering cans, bird baths and other garden décor that will compliment your theme.

Enjoy planning your wedding decorations!
